Virginia’s Attorney General-Elect Jay Jones expands transition team with legal and law enforcement leaders
Attorney General-Elect Jay Jones has announced further members of his 'Standing up for Virginians' transition committee. The new additions include prominent figures from law enforcement and legal sectors, demonstrating a commitment to public safety and service.
Joining the committee are Leonard A. Bennett, Founding Partner of Consumer Litigation Associates, and Sheriff Antionette V. Irving, PhD, Sheriff of Richmond. Sheriff Joseph 'Joe' P. Baron of Norfolk and Helen O. Hardiman, Founder of Hardiman Law PLLC, also bring their expertise to the team.
Sheriff Alisa A. Gregory of Henrico County and Dr. Kenneth C. Alexander, PhD, Mayor of Norfolk, further enrich the committee's diversity. Former Delegate Jeffrey M. Bourne, now Chief Legal Officer of The Branch Group, Inc., and former Commonwealth's Attorney Michael N. Herring, Partner at McGuireWoods, also contribute their valuable insights.
Co-chaired by former Judge Teresa Chafin and attorney Mark Herring, the transition committee comprises distinguished leaders dedicated to serving the people of Virginia. With their collective experience and commitment, they aim to ensure a smooth transition and effective leadership under Attorney General-Elect Jay Jones.
