Vkusno i Tochka Expands Beyond Russia with Kyrgyzstan Franchise Deal
Vkusno i Tochka, the Russian fast-food chain that replaced McDonald's in 2022, is now expanding into Kyrgyzstan. A new franchise deal will bring over 15 restaurants to the country within five years. The move marks the brand's first international expansion since its launch.
The chain was founded by Alexander Govor after McDonald's exited Russia in 2022. Its first location opened on Moscow's Pushkinskaya Square, the site of the original Soviet-era McDonald's, on June 12 that year. Govor has since stated he does not expect McDonald's to reclaim the business.
Under a new franchise agreement, Systema PBO LLC and Alcrest Food LLC will operate Vkusno i Tochka in Kyrgyzstan. The first outlets are set to open by the end of this year. Over the next five years, the expansion is expected to create around 750 jobs. As of March 2026, Kyrgyzstan remains the only international market for the brand. No other franchise or company-owned locations have been established outside Russia.
The deal will introduce Vkusno i Tochka to Kyrgyzstan before the year ends. With plans for 15 new restaurants, the expansion will bring hundreds of jobs to the region. This marks the brand's first step beyond Russia since taking over from McDonald's.
