Vladislav Bakalchuk named M.Video's new General Director amid leadership shift

M.Video has appointed Vladislav Bakalchuk as its new General Director. The move comes as part of a leadership reshuffle, with Felix Lib stepping down to take up a role on the Board of Directors. Bakalchuk, who has led the company as CEO since August 2025, now takes full charge of its operations.

Born in Lyubertsy, Moscow Oblast, in 1977, Bakalchuk graduated from the Moscow Energy University in 1997 with a degree in radiophysics. In 2002, he co-founded the internet provider UTech alongside Alexey Fadeev before transitioning into retail leadership.

Under his leadership, M.Video has undergone significant restructuring. This includes expanding the marketplace, boosting online sales, upgrading IT systems, and improving logistics. By the end of 2025, the marketplace's turnover had climbed to 14.1 billion rubles, with a peak of 6.6 billion rubles in the final quarter alone. Bakalchuk's strategy focuses on transforming M.Video into a broad multi-category platform. His priorities include increasing operational efficiency, growing digital sales channels, and scaling the marketplace further. Meanwhile, Felix Lib, his predecessor, will now oversee strategic planning and key decision-making as Chairman of the Board.

The leadership change marks a new phase for M.Video as it pushes for digital expansion and marketplace growth. Bakalchuk's experience in restructuring and technology is expected to drive the company's next steps. His appointment follows a period of strong financial performance and operational reform.
