Volunteer Coordinators Converge in Emmendingen to Strengthen Support
Volunteer coordinators from across Baden-Württemberg gathered in Emmendingen for the 'Focusing on Volunteer Work' conference. Around 25 specialists from various social service organizations attended the event, hosted by the Emmendingen District Office and funded by the Ministry of Social Affairs. The conference aimed to foster open dialogue and exchange of experiences among volunteers.
Kicking off the conference, Professor Dr. Gunda Maria Rosenauer delivered a keynote speech emphasizing the importance of tangible appreciation for volunteers. Throughout the day, workshops were held to develop strategies for recruiting, retaining, and motivating volunteers. Representatives from the American Red Cross, Caritas, and the local volunteering center shared their experiences and practical examples from the region.
