Waste disposal fees in Neu-Isenburg to rise from 2026
Neu-Isenburg has updated its waste management rules and raised fees for residents. The city council approved the changes on December 10, 2025, citing rising costs over the coming years. The new regulations will take effect from January 1, 2026, and remain in place until 2028.
The revised bylaws bring several key changes. The annual fee for a 60-litre residual waste bin with biweekly collection will rise to €115.08. This marks a 5.8 percent increase, though Neu-Isenburg will still have the lowest waste fees in the Offenbach district.
The mandatory minimum residual waste volume per person will drop to 7.5 litres per week. Additional updates include stricter rules on dog waste disposal and earlier placement of waste containers to avoid littering and traffic issues. The recycling centre’s opening hours, bulky waste collection, and garden waste bin usage have also been adjusted. The fee hike follows the depletion of a €1.15 million reserve fund, built up between 2023 and 2025. Without this financial cushion, the city needed to adjust charges to cover projected cost increases in waste services.
The new waste management rules and fees will apply from 2026 to 2028. Residents will pay slightly more, but the city remains the most affordable in the district for waste disposal. The changes aim to maintain service quality while addressing rising operational expenses.
