The image shows a group of people walking down a flooded road next to a body of water, with vehicles on the road, traffic cones, sign boards, light poles, and trees on either side. The sky is visible in the background, and the scene is likely the aftermath of a flood that has caused the road to be closed.

Water main burst shuts down key road in Celle indefinitely

CELLE. Essential information for anyone driving near the evacuation zone tomorrow: Due to a water main rupture at Wilhelm-Heinichen-Ring near Welfenallee, the road surface has been undermined. As a result, the section of Wilhelm-Heinichen-Ring—used as a diversion route—must be closed between Fuhrberger Straße and Krähenberg.

A detour has been set up for the affected stretch, routing traffic via Fuhrberger Straße, Garnseeweg, and Krähenberg in both directions (including the return route—see map).

The closure is necessary to ensure road users' safety. It remains unclear when the road will reopen. Stadtwerke Celle and Veolia are currently working to repair the damage.
