West Fargo schools launch $99.6M construction after voter approval
West Fargo Public Schools has started work on several major construction projects following the approval of a $99.6 million building referendum in February. The plans include expansions at Horace High School and Heritage Middle School, along with renovations at South Elementary and a new inclusive playground now open at the Early Childhood Center.
Construction began shortly after the referendum passed, with crews completing phase one of multiple projects before winter. At Horace High School, the first part of a $36 million expansion is already underway, while phase two remains in the design stage and is set to start in March. Meanwhile, Heritage Middle School’s $22.6 million expansion is progressing, with completion expected by summer 2027.
The district’s construction timeline remains on track, with key phases advancing as planned. Larger projects will resume in the spring, while smaller upgrades will be phased in over the coming years. The approved funding continues to support expansions, renovations, and new facilities across West Fargo Public Schools.
