Westphalia-Lippe Registrars Gather in Gütersloh for Key Training Event
The Westphalia-Lippe Association of Registrars recently held its autumn training in Gütersloh, marking a significant event in the registry practice calendar. The training, planned over a year by Barbara Glaser of the Gütersloh registry office, was attended by registrars and staff from registry offices and supervisory authorities. It was hosted in the city hall as part of Gütersloh's 200-year charter anniversary celebrations.
The training was led by Barbara Horenkamp and Andreas Stenzel, focusing on current topics and legal issues in registry practice. Key discussions included changes in naming law, reflecting the evolving nature of registry work. The event was deemed a success by Claudia Wiegelmann, head of the citizen and foreigner affairs department and director of the Gütersloh registry office, who praised the beautiful setting and productive discussions.
