When We Were Young Festival Rocks Las Vegas with Pop-Punk Legends
The When We Were Young festival returned to Las Vegas, sponsored by 7-Eleven, this time celebrating pop-punk, emo, and hardcore punk music with a stellar lineup. Panic! at the Disco and Blink-182 headlined the event, joined by the likes of Avril Lavigne, The Offspring, and more. The festival also saw several unexpected collaborations and debut performances.
The festival kicked off with a bang as Blackbear joined All Time Low for their hit 'Monsters' live for the first time. Panic! at the Disco, one of the headliners, performed their debut album 'A Fever You Can't Sweat Out' in full, a first since 2023. Mark Hoppus of Blink-182, the other headliner, encouraged the crowd to enjoy the emo show.
Avril Lavigne had a special guest join her on stage. Deryck Whibley of Sum 41 joined her for 'In Too Deep'. Pierre Bouvier of Simple Plan also made an appearance, joining Lavigne for 'Young & Dumb'. The Offspring's guitarist Noodles and The Used's bassist Adam Russell wore political message shirts during their performances, adding a touch of activism to the event.
