White House Welcomes Its 2020 Christmas Tree From Michigan Farm
The White House has received its official Christmas tree for 2020, continuing a tradition that began in 1966. This year’s tree, a 25-foot concolor fir, was provided by Korson’s Tree Farms, a family-run business in Sidney Township, Michigan.
The tree was delivered to the North Lawn of the White House, where First Lady Melania Trump formally accepted it. Korson’s Tree Farms earned the honour after winning a national competition organized by the National Christmas Tree Association.
The concolor fir will now be decorated and displayed as part of the White House’s festive celebrations. The tradition, spanning over five decades, highlights a different American tree farm annually, showcasing the nation’s agricultural heritage.
