Wiesbaden’s Future Lab Opens for Citizen-Led Urban Innovation
Wiesbaden has opened its Zukunftswerk, or Future Lab, in the Luisenforum to foster smart solutions and citizen involvement. Launched on Monday, 20 January 2025, the space invites residents to shape the city’s future through participation and innovation. A new public dashboard now provides real-time data on how the lab is being used and its impact on the community.
The Future Lab was designed as a hub for collaboration, where residents can engage directly with city governance. Around 100 people visit daily, with numbers steadily rising. The space allows them to learn about city services, share feedback, and take part in shaping local initiatives.
The launch of the dashboard strengthens Wiesbaden’s commitment to transparency and resident engagement. By providing real-time insights, the city can refine its services and respond more effectively to community needs. The Future Lab continues to serve as a model for participatory governance in action.
