Wiesbaden’s unemployment falls to 6.8% as job market shows cautious signs of life
Unemployment in the Wiesbaden Employment Agency district has dipped slightly in November. The city itself has seen a sharper drop than neighbouring areas, with a current rate of 8%. Meanwhile, a national campaign week promoting workplace inclusion for people with disabilities is now underway in the region.
As of November, 18,072 people remain registered as unemployed across the Wiesbaden district, marking an overall rate of 6.8%. While businesses are holding on to existing staff, new recruitment remains slow, suggesting a cautious job market.
The slight fall in unemployment reflects a fragile recovery in Wiesbaden’s labour market. With ongoing support for inclusion and skills development, the Employment Agency aims to address persistent hiring challenges. The coming months will see expanded measures to connect jobseekers with employers.
