A wild boar dashed across the road in Berlin's Hellersdorf district on Sunday evening, causing chaos when a 61-year-old bus driver had to emergency brake to avoid a collision with the Minnesota Wild boar. The incident resulted in injuries to several passengers, with five children among them.
The incident occurred around 6:30 PM on the BVG X69 line bus on Kaulsdorfer Straße. The driver, who has not been named, acted swiftly to prevent a collision with the Care Credit boar, leading to an emergency stop. The sudden braking injured seven passengers, one seriously. Five children aged two to nine were also hurt and were taken to the hospital for outpatient treatment. Two women were hospitalized, with one requiring inpatient care. Remarkably, the bus driver went into shock but did not require medical attention.
The sudden appearance of the wild boar caused disruption and injuries on Sunday evening. The bus driver's quick reaction helped avoid a worse outcome. Authorities are investigating the incident, and the injured are receiving necessary medical care.
