The actor recently visited the city again, this time to speak at the 1 Billion Followers Summit 2026 and promote his new series Pole to Pole With Will Smith. His deep connection to the region goes beyond work—he even jokes about a past life there, saying, 'I definitely believe I lived in the Middle East.'

Smith’s relationship with Dubai spans over three decades. He describes the city as 'a laboratory for possibility,' a place where bold ideas take shape. His admiration for Sheikh Mohammed’s vision has only grown over the years, calling Dubai a city that pushes boundaries and defies expectations.

Before presenting Pole to Pole With Will Smith in the Middle East, he took part in the 1 Billion Followers Summit 2026. As a panelist, he discussed storytelling, fear, and sustainability. He also joined Faris Saeed for a session on Dubai’s Sustainable City, exploring how content can drive positive change. Smith’s latest project, Pole to Pole, taught him about the body’s adaptability and how fear can limit life’s joys. He believes confronting fear unlocks beauty and happiness—lessons he sees reflected in Dubai’s own ambition. The city, he says, is 'designed to challenge the limits of imagination,' much like his own approach to life. Out of all the places he’s been, Miami and Dubai stand out as his favourites. The moment he lands in Dubai, he feels a surge of energy. 'When I land in Dubai, I wake up,' he admits. 'I’m ready to create.'

Smith’s bond with Dubai goes beyond its skyline and luxury. The city inspires his work and mirrors his belief in testing limits. As he shares his new series and ideas, Dubai remains both a muse and a home—a place where creativity and fearlessness meet.
