Winners of the Republican Contest Awarded in Astana
Kazakhstan’s Ministry of Culture and Information has held a national contest to celebrate patriotism through art. The republican event, named Otandysuy – Zhurkten ('Love for the Homeland – From the Heart'), invited participants from across the country to showcase their creative works. The competition aimed to strengthen civic identity and promote national values using contemporary artistic expression.
The contest featured two main categories: 'Rämizderim – Maqtanyşym' ('Our Symbols – Our Pride') and 'Eldiktiñ Asqaq Aibyny' ('The Nation’s Noble Essence'). Participants from 17 regions and three major cities submitted entries in diverse formats, including videos, essays, poetry, stage performances, and multimedia installations.
In the *'Rämizderim – Maqtanyşym'* category, first place went to Serik Yelnur Bakytzhanuly, followed by Nurkasym Damir Aidynuly in second and Nurlanbek Aruzhan Nurzhanqyzy in third. Aigerim Tulegenova also secured a top position in this category. The *'Eldiktiñ Asqaq Aibyny'* winners included Bimerdinova Aralym Zholdasbekovna (1st place), Ospanova Aigerim Maratovna and Faizolla Alpamys Bauyrzhanuly (2nd place), and Bakhtai Zhanna Amangaliqyzy, Bisekenova Aidana Zhanbolatovna, and Polatova Ainura Zhumabekovna (3rd place). The award ceremony honoured winners with diplomas, commemorative awards, and flowers. The event closed with a festive concert by artists from the State Academic Philharmonic named after Yevgeny Rakhmadiev.
The contest highlighted the role of art in fostering patriotic education and social unity. By engaging creators from all regions, the initiative reinforced national pride through diverse artistic expressions. The Ministry of Culture and Information confirmed plans to continue similar projects in the future.
