A 35-year-old woman, without a fixed address in Germany, caused chaos in downtown Montabaur on November 2, 2025. The incident, which occurred around 7:45 a.m., involved property damage and arson, with the woman suspected of being under the influence of marijuana.

The woman, who was later taken into custody, started fires in several trash bins, causing an estimated low four-digit range of damage to the bins and an adjacent building. Witnesses reported seeing her knocking over signs and bins, and throwing bags of dog waste. Firefighters swiftly extinguished the blaze, preventing further damage.

The woman's actions resulted in significant property damage, with the cost of repairs estimated to be in the low four-digit range. She was taken into custody near the scene and is suspected of arson and public disturbance.
