Woman Stabs Man with Kitchen Knife in Argument - Woman Arrested for Attempted Manslaughter After Domestic Knife Attack
A woman has been arrested and is in pretrial detention following a domestic dispute along the German Wine Route. The 44-year-old woman is accused of severely injuring her 43-year-old husband with a kitchen knife during an argument at their home in Annweiler am Trifels on Tuesday. The victim, a man, managed to flee to neighbors and was rushed to a hospital for emergency surgery. He is now out of life-threatening danger. The suspect, identified as Iris Stalzer, surrendered without resistance and was brought before a magistrate on Wednesday. She was issued an arrest warrant on strong suspicion of attempted manslaughter and transferred to a correctional facility. The designated mayor of Herdecke, where the incident occurred, is currently in pretrial detention. The incident is still under investigation, and further details are yet to be released. The woman remains in custody, and the man is recovering from his injuries.
