Woman escapes with minor injuries after car slams into tree near Petershausen
Woman Injured in Petershausen Crash; Tree Felled by Firefighters
PETERSHAUSEN – A 32-year-old woman from Petershausen sustained minor injuries after her Ford veered off the road and struck a tree on Dachau District Road 1 early Thursday morning.
According to police, the driver was traveling from Kollbach toward Kammerberg around 6:40 a.m. when, for reasons still under investigation, she left the road to the right and collided head-on with a tree. The impact severely damaged the front of the car, rendering it undriveable.
Emergency responders treated the woman at the scene. The force of the crash so badly damaged the tree that firefighters had to cut it down as a safety measure. Police estimate the damage to the vehicle at approximately €10,000.
