Woman Found Dead in Cebu Church; Archdiocese Orders Temporary Closure
A woman was found dead inside San Fernando Rey Parish Church in Liloan, Cebu on October 24, 2025. The unidentified woman, believed to be around 30 years old, was discovered near the church entrance with visible head injuries, nose bleeding, and ligature marks around her neck. Police suspect she was beaten and possibly strangled. CCTV footage captured the victim entering the church with a man, who was later seen attacking her before fleeing the scene. The woman's identity remains unknown, and police are seeking the public's help to identify her. The Liloan police have posted an appeal on social media, urging anyone with information to call 0998-598-6385. The people of Liloan are mourning the woman and awaiting the healing of their sanctuary.
