A Turkish national, convicted of murder in Germany, is set to be deported. The man, known locally as the 'Wool House Speeder', was involved in a fatal car crash in Heilbronn in February 2023. The convicted man, identified as Hakan E., was driving a 300-horsepower sports car at excessive speed in a 40 km/h zone when he lost control, causing the crash. His conviction was based on the legal principle of Heimtücke, which means the victim could not have anticipated the oncoming vehicle.
A deportation order has been issued, giving Hakan E. one month to challenge it. If unsuccessful, the order becomes legally binding and will be carried out by the Karlsruhe Regional Council.
