"World's First Armless Female Pilot: Jessica Cox Achievement"

Jessica Cox, born in Sierra Vista, Arizona in 1982, has made history as the first armless person to earn a pilot's certificate. This remarkable achievement allows her to fly a light-sport aircraft to altitudes of 10,000 feet.

Born without arms due to a rare disease, Jessica's determination to live an independent life led her to refuse the prosthesis made for her when she was 14 years old. Instead, she developed unique ways to perform everyday tasks, including controlling her custom-made Ercoupe plane without rudder pedals.

The Ercoupe aircraft, designed without rudder pedals, links the ailerons and rudder controls. This allows for coordinated turns using just the yoke, which Jessica manipulates with her feet. This unique combination of the plane's design and her skillful use of feet enabled her to become the first licensed pilot without arms.

Jessica's car does not have any special modifications. However, her Ercoupe plane, a custom-made ERCO 415-C model, is specifically designed for her needs.

Jessica's achievements extend beyond aviation. She is a certified SCUBA diver, the first armless black belt American Taekwondo player and 2014 Arizona State Champion, and the first armless national surfing athlete.

In 2015, Jessica published a book titled "Disarm Your Limits", sharing her experiences and inspiring others to overcome their challenges. She has been giving seminars on personal development since the same year.

Jessica's passion and determination have made her a source of inspiration. She works as an ambassador on "Disability rights" with her husband, Patrick Chamberlain. Despite her many accomplishments, there is one challenge she hasn't yet mastered - making a ponytail in her hair.
