WWII Veteran Celebrates 99th Birthday with Heartfelt Military Honors

Kamil Tajurizinovich Tajurizin, a World War II veteran from Krasnaya Gorka, recently celebrated his 99th birthday. Local officials visited him at home to honour his military service and mark the occasion with personal gifts.

Tajurizin enlisted during the war and served in the 286th Separate Motorized Special-Purpose Battalion. His unit specialized in amphibious operations, and he drove a floating vehicle across rivers and flooded terrain. Alongside his comrades, he advanced all the way to Berlin.

The veteran’s 99th birthday was marked by official recognition of his wartime contributions. His decorations and long career in teaching remain part of his legacy. Local authorities continue to honour his service decades after the war’s end.
