Yakut Language Project Wins National Award for Cultural Revival

The Alexander Kulakovsky House of Peoples’ Friendship has gained national recognition for its language promotion efforts. Despite extensive searches, no information was found about the group's activities beyond the 'Let's Speak Yakut' event. However, their video project 'Let’s Speak Yakut' has received a prestigious award. The project, which features instructors from the North-Eastern Federal University and international students, was honoured at a ceremony in Moscow's Maly Theatre. Aitalina Argunova, Aital Korkin, and Raisa Mestnikova, the project's creators, received a third-degree award. The House of Peoples’ Friendship has been making waves in Yakutia. Afanasiy Vladimirov, Deputy Speaker of Yakutia’s State Assembly, recently met with the laureates of the 'Pride of the Nation' award, including the winning team from the House of Peoples’ Friendship. The Alexander Kulakovsky House of Peoples’ Friendship has made significant strides in promoting the Yakut language. Their innovative video project has been recognised nationally, and they have received high-level recognition from Yakutia's government.
