Yakutia Ensures Holiday Power, Services as New Year Approaches
The Republic of Yakutia is gearing up for the New Year and Christmas holidays with a focus on ensuring uninterrupted power supply and other essential services. Dmitry Sadovnikov, the First Deputy Prime Minister, chaired a meeting to discuss these preparations.
Sadovnikov entrusted regional energy companies and local utility providers with maintaining a stable power supply during the holiday period. Planned outages are to be avoided, and a heightened readiness mode will be in effect from December 29 to January 9. Daily duty and constant checks of electrical equipment will be organised, with fire safety requirements strictly enforced.
Similar requirements apply to regional operators for waste removal and liquid household waste services. A check of fuel and energy resources, backup power sources, and fire-fighting equipment must be completed by December 29. Resource-supplying enterprises are expected to ensure the uninterrupted and reliable operation of their facilities during this time.
The meeting chaired by Dmitry Sadovnikov has put in place measures to ensure the smooth operation of essential services during the New Year and Christmas holidays in Yakutia. These preparations aim to guarantee the safety and comfort of the region's residents during the festive season.
