Yakutia’s Anti-Fascist Forum Unites Society Through Military History and Patriotism
Yakutia hosts the third Republican Anti-Fascist Forum 'People and Army United', kicking off on Unity Day. The event, running over three days, aims to instil patriotism and preserve historical memory. It features a showcase of Yakutia's support for the Special Military Operation and an exhibition of captured NATO military equipment.
The forum, held in Yakutsk, opens exhibitions at the 'Russia—My History' museum complex. These displays include artifacts from the Military Historical Museum and captured NATO military equipment. Lieutenant General Roman Grekov, Deputy Commander for Military-Political Affairs of the Eastern Military District, highlights the importance of the forum in uniting society.
The Eastern and Southern Military Districts participate for the first time this year. Yakutia's support for the Special Military Operation is recognised by Russia’s Ministry of Defense, with support hubs in Donbas. A plenary session on November 6 discusses strategies to counter fascism and patriotic education.
The forum's program caters to both veterans and young people. It includes roundtable discussions, meetings with military command, workshops on psychosocial support, and initiatives to prevent extremism. The event aims to foster patriotism among youth and preserve historical memory.
