Yakutsk Residents Back Proposal to Retake All EGE Subjects in Same Year
A recent survey in Yakutsk has revealed strong support for a proposal allowing 11th grade graduates to retake the Unified State Exam (EGE) for all chosen subjects in the same year. The poll, conducted from September 23 to October 9, found that a majority of economically active Yakutians back the initiative.
Women showed more enthusiasm for the proposal, with a higher proportion supporting it compared to men. Overall, 76% of respondents approved of the idea. Meanwhile, 7% opposed it, and 17% remained undecided.
The survey also highlighted the views of specific groups. Parents of 10-11th grade students emerged as the strongest supporters, with 90% in favor. Teachers in these grades also showed majority support, with 67% approving the possibility of retaking all chosen subjects. Residents under 35 were more supportive than those over 35.
The survey results indicate that the proposal to allow retakes for all chosen subjects in the EGE has found favor among Yakutsk residents, particularly women, parents of 10-11th grade students, and younger residents. The majority support signals a positive reception for the innovation.
