Yekaterinburg unites 560 for military career insights and patriotism

Over 560 people united in Yekaterinburg on November 15, 2022, for the event 'There Is Such a Profession—Defending the Motherland!'. The Ural Federal University, the city administration, and regional government, along with the Sverdlovsk Regional Veterans’ Hospital, actively participated. The event aimed to inform attendees about military career choices and unite people in defending the state.

Earlier, the Sverdlovsk Regional Veterans’ Hospital hosted discussions on legal and medical support for participants in the special military operation. The event was held at the Officers’ House and was attended by high-ranking military officials, including Colonel General Nikolai Tkachyov and Colonel General Alexander Poryadin. The Sverdlovsk Region Military Commissariat provided guidance on joining the armed forces and choosing a specialty.

Cadets and officers shared personal experiences about military life and combat missions with young attendees. The event coincided with Conscript Day and included a video conference connecting high school seniors with military officials.

The event concluded with cultural performances by the Central Military District’s Song and Dance Ensemble and cadets from the regional branch of the VOIN Center. It successfully informed attendees about military career choices and fostered unity in defending the state.
