Young Women Can Now Launch AI Startups With Free Training and $10K Funding
A new accelerator programme is offering young women the chance to turn AI ideas into investor-ready businesses. The AI Ventures Accelerator, run by Technovation and Generation Unlimited, provides free training, mentorship, and a shot at $10,000 in seed funding without giving up equity. Applications are now open to teams of women aged 19 to 24. The 12-week programme helps participants develop both technical and business skills. Teams will work on launching and scaling AI-driven startups, with support tailored to their needs. To take part, applicants must commit 10 to 15 hours each week for the full duration.
Eligibility is open to young women living in any UNICEF programme country, including those across Africa. The initiative specifically encourages African startups to apply. No prior experience in AI is required—just a problem-solving mindset and a willingness to learn. The deadline for applications is **February 22**. Those accepted will receive structured guidance, from refining their ideas to pitching to investors. At the end of the programme, the strongest ventures will compete for $10,000 in equity-free funding.
The accelerator aims to bridge gaps in tech entrepreneurship by supporting young women in AI innovation. Successful applicants will gain skills, mentorship, and potential funding to grow their ventures. Interested teams can apply through the link provided before the closing date.
