Youth Council Engages Teens in Local Politics Ahead of 2026 Elections

The Youth Council recently held a meeting to engage young people in local politics, with a focus on the upcoming 2026 elections. The event brought together young people, parents, city council members, and staff from the City Youth Welfare Office.

The Youth Festival and the 'WahlLAmat' initiative for the 2026 local elections were key topics of discussion. The Youth Council, involved in the urban development project STEP2040, aims to create platforms for young people to develop political views through dialogue with council members and election candidates.

The next public meeting on this topic will take place on November 17 at the Youth Culture Center Alte Kaserne.

The Youth Council's efforts to involve young people in local politics are ongoing. The upcoming meeting at the Youth Culture Center is an opportunity for young people to engage with the political process and have their voices heard.
