Zeppelin Group acquires cpc and GLB to dominate construction logistics

Zeppelin Group has agreed to buy cpc and GreenLean Baulogistik (GLB), a major competitor in construction logistics. The deal will expand its Construction Logistics division, which has already grown steadily over the past five years. If approved, the acquisition will strengthen its position in a market where demand for specialised services continues to rise. The two companies being acquired—cpc baulogistik GmbH and GreenLean Baulogistik GmbH—operate under Constellation Baulogistik GmbH. Together, they employ nearly 100 people across four German locations: Berlin, Hamburg, Hannover, and Munich. Their services cover everything from planning secondary construction processes to managing personnel and material flows on site.

Zeppelin's own Construction Logistics division has seen strong growth since 2021. Annual revenues climbed from €1.2 billion to €1.7 billion by 2025, an average increase of 8–12% per year. This expansion came through acquisitions and a rising market share, which grew from 15% to 22% in Germany alone. The group's client list includes construction firms, industrial companies, public contractors, and project developers. Christoph Afheldt, part of Zeppelin Rental's executive team, described the move as a key step in their long-term growth plan. Peter Schrader, who leads the Strategic Rental Business Unit, added that construction logistics would play an even bigger role in future projects. The deal remains subject to antitrust approval before it can be finalised. Constellation Capital, the previous majority owner, has not disclosed further details about the transaction.

Once completed, the acquisition will bring cpc and GLB under Zeppelin's umbrella, adding to its existing nationwide services. The combined operations will serve a broad range of clients, from private developers to large-scale contractors. Approval from regulators is now the final hurdle before the takeover can proceed.
