ZWAR Group Richrath Celebrates 10-Year Anniversary
The ZWAR group Richrath marked its 10-year anniversary with a celebration attended by 50 active members. Klaus Edelmann, a founding member, kicked off the event with a warm welcome.
The evening featured a slideshow, curated by Herbert Hölzenbein, showcasing a decade of ZWAR activities. It was well-received by the attendees.
Christian Benzrath, the 1st deputy mayor, took the opportunity to commend Marion Prell, the former mayor, for her role in establishing the six ZWAR groups in Langenfeld. These groups, including Richrath, are: Langenfeld Mitte, Nord, Süd, West, and Ost.
Manuela Oberscheidt, chairperson of the Senior Center Richrath e.V., expressed gratitude for the ZWAR group's collaboration and pledged financial support for the upcoming Christmas party's mulled wine.
Refreshments served included onion cake and wine, enjoyed by all. Günter Forsbach provided an insightful overview of the typical course of a ZWAR group meeting.
The ZWAR group Richrath's 10-year anniversary celebration was a success, marked by camaraderie, reflection, and plans for the future. The group looks forward to continuing its community work with the support of local partners.
