A fire in a multi-family home in Zwickau's Marienthal district on Wednesday evening left three people with minor injuries. The blaze, which broke out in the evening, required the intervention of local fire services and the Saxony State Criminal Police Office (LKA Sachsen). The fire, which rendered the residential building uninhabitable, affected a 19-year-old man, a 25-year-old woman, and a 71-year-old woman. All three were taken to a hospital and treated for suspected smoke inhalation as outpatients. The cause of the fire is currently under investigation by the local fire department's arson investigation unit and the LKA Sachsen. The injured residents are expected to recover. The cause of the fire remains unknown, with investigations ongoing. The building is currently uninhabitable, and residents are seeking alternative accommodation.
