102 KL & Selangor Schools Shift to Home Learning for Asean Summit
The Ministry of Education has approved a temporary shift to home-based learning for 102 schools in Kuala Lumpur and Selangor from October 23 to 29. This decision, aimed at ensuring the smooth conduct of the 47th Asean Summit, will allow students to continue their education uninterrupted.
Parents, guardians, and school staff are advised to contact their respective schools directly for detailed information about the implementation. The affected schools have experience with such arrangements, having successfully implemented them during the Covid-19 pandemic and a previous Asean meeting. This measure is specific to schools in Kuala Lumpur and Selangor, with no such authorization given to schools in other districts outside these two states.
The Ministry's decision ensures that the 47th Asean Summit runs smoothly while maintaining student learning continuity. Affected schools, with their past experience, are well-prepared to handle this temporary shift to home-based teaching and learning.
