Acheampong’s Campaign Slams ‘Desperate Propaganda’ Ahead of 2026 Primary
Dr Bryan Acheampong's campaign spokesperson, Eric Amoako Twum, has addressed media to defend the candidate's engagements in the Ashanti Region. Twum highlighted irregularities in the youth organizers' statements, including a deceased person's endorsement, and dismissed allegations as propaganda.
Twum found it shocking that the NPP youth organizers included an endorsement from the late Kwasi Nyantakyi in their statements. He described their allegations as 'a message without credibility' and 'propaganda' from a 'desperate bunch' interested in spreading false information.
Twum predicted a decisive victory for Dr Acheampong in the upcoming January 31, 2026, primary election. He asserted that the campaign's rapid rise in influence signifies unprecedented nationwide momentum, with Dr Acheampong being 'a force to be reckoned with'.
Twum articulated Dr Acheampong's broader vision for the country, including social security, national security, infrastructure development, food security, and specific plans for the nation's young people. He also outlined the successful impact of Dr Acheampong's Ashanti Region tour, emphasizing the campaign's commitment to grassroots empowerment, unity, and discipline within the party.
Twum assured that the campaign would not engage in casting aspersions or insults, but instead focus on their core message. Despite the allegations, Dr Acheampong's campaign team dismissed them as propaganda and expressed confidence in their candidate's prospects for the upcoming primary election.
