André Dresen honored for 25 years of dedication to Grevenbroich's city council
At the council meeting on February 19, 2026, André Dresen was honored for 25 years of service on the advisory board of our city portal. In his speech, Mayor Klaus Krützen praised Dresen's long-standing commitment to local politics and his contributions to the city.
Dresen has been a member of the city council since 1999, first joining at the age of 20. Over the past quarter-century, he has played an active role in shaping Grevenbroich's municipal policy. During his tenure, he has served on numerous committees, including those for youth welfare, audit oversight, social affairs, urban planning, and the main finance committee. He has also taken on leadership roles as chair of the fire protection committee, a member of various supervisory boards, and a representative on the administrative board of Grevenbroich Municipal Services (AöR). For many years, he has additionally served as deputy faction leader.
Mayor Krützen particularly highlighted Dresen's focus on substance, his willingness to engage in debate, and his openness to cross-party dialogue. Despite differing political views, cooperation with him has always been constructive and reliable. Twenty-five years of council membership, Krützen noted, reflect continuity, a strong sense of responsibility, and enduring dedication to the city and its residents. Our city portal extends its sincere gratitude to André Dresen for his many years of service and offers heartfelt congratulations on this milestone anniversary.
