In Krachi Nchumuru, Dr Mahamudu Bawumia, the former Vice President of Ghana, has received overwhelming support ahead of the 2028 presidential elections. The constituency has declared its backing for him, with major party executives and former officials endorsing his candidacy. In the 2023 NPP Primaries, Krachi Nchumuru Constituency demonstrated its commitment to Dr Bawumia, awarding him the highest winning margin in the Oti Region with a 96% victory. The constituency chairman has assured another resounding victory in the upcoming primaries, scheduled for January 31, 2026. Dr Bawumia's campaign in Krachi Nchumuru Constituency has started strongly, with key party figures and former officials endorsing his candidacy. If the trend continues, he is expected to secure the NPP's 2028 presidential candidate nomination from this constituency with a significant margin.
