Berlin police dismantle drug ring in massive dawn raids across the city
Berlin police have carried out a large-scale operation against an organised drug trafficking ring. Early raids targeted 11 suspects aged between 18 and 29, focusing on narcotics sales in Münsinger Park. Over 220 officers took part in the crackdown, which included searches across multiple locations in Spandau and Neukölln.
The operation began with 17 search warrants executed at residential properties, a bakery, and a boarding house in Spandau. A further location in Neukölln was also raided. During the searches, officers seized narcotics, prescription drugs, cash, a cannabis growing site, and several mobile phones.
Two suspects, aged 24 and 25, were arrested and later appeared before an investigating judge at Tiergarten District Court. The judge issued and enforced arrest warrants for both individuals. One officer suffered a hand injury during the raids but continued working after receiving medical treatment. The investigation remains active, with authorities continuing to examine the network’s activities and connections.
The operation disrupted a suspected drug trafficking group operating primarily in Münsinger Park. Two arrests were made, and evidence including narcotics and cash was confiscated. Police have confirmed that further inquiries are underway.
