Boy, 12, robbed and shoved off e-scooter by young thieves in Duisburg
A 12-year-old boy told police he had been shopping at the Marktforum Hochemmerich when he returned to find his scooter being tampered with. As he approached his e-scooter, he noticed two individuals near it. The strangers asked if they could take the scooter for a ride, but when the Duisburg boy refused, one of them shoved him to the ground, seized the scooter, and both fled in an unknown direction. The 12-year-old was uninjured and immediately ran home, where his mother alerted the police.
The two suspects are believed to be between 10 and 13 years old and roughly 5'3" to 5'7" tall. Both reportedly had short, dark hair. One was wearing a white T-shirt, white shoes, and blue jeans, while the other had on a black sweatshirt and white shorts.
Duisburg's Criminal Investigation Division (Kriminalkommissariat 13) has launched an investigation and is appealing for witnesses. If you saw anything suspicious, please contact the police.
