Child in Berlin uncovers buried treasure worth thousands at kindergarten
A child in Berlin has stumbled upon a hidden treasure while playing at a kindergarten. The discovery included gold jewellery, silver coins, luxury watches, and even a gold bar. Authorities are now working to trace the rightful owner of the valuable items.
Meanwhile, in Trostberg, another surprising find was made when a resident bought an old safe for just €15—only to uncover a gold bar worth around €32,000 inside.
The Berlin discovery began when the child found several coins scattered on the playground. Curious, the teacher and the child’s father searched the area further. They soon unearthed more valuables, including cash totalling €6,000.
Among the recovered items were gold jewellery, silver coins, and luxury watches. A gold bar was also part of the haul. Berlin police have launched an investigation but so far, no reports of missing valuables matching the find have been filed. In a separate incident, a Trostberg resident recently purchased an old safe for €15. Upon opening it, they discovered a gold bar estimated to be worth €32,000. The unexpected windfall has left the buyer stunned by their luck.
Both cases remain under investigation, with Berlin police attempting to identify the original owner of the playground treasure. The Trostberg resident, meanwhile, now holds a gold bar worth far more than the price of the safe. No further claims on either discovery have yet been made.
