Cyprus Red Cross launches 75th-anniversary fundraising campaign for children's therapy centre
The Cyprus Red Cross Society (CRCS) has launched its 2026 Pancyprian Fundraising Campaign. The initiative began on World Red Cross Day, May 5, and marks the organisation’s 75th anniversary. It aims to fund the renovation of the CRCS Children Therapy Centre 'Stella Soulioti' and provide local crisis relief. The campaign will run until May 20, 2026. Volunteers will collect donations across Cyprus at major hubs, through online platforms at redcross.org.cy, and via solidarity initiatives.
At the launch, CRCS President Fotini Papadopoulou highlighted the Society’s growth into the island’s leading humanitarian organisation. She underscored its long-standing support for children with physical disabilities through the 'Stella Soulioti' centre. Minister of Health Neophytos Charalambides also praised the CRCS for strengthening the nation’s social fabric.
Corporate partner Allwyn has backed the CRCS for nine years. The company has pledged continued support until the centre’s renovation is complete. The fundraising drive seeks to upgrade facilities at the 'Stella Soulioti' centre and bolster emergency aid. Donations will be accepted through multiple channels during the two-week campaign. The CRCS remains a key provider of humanitarian aid in Cyprus.
