Deadly village clash in Sunamganj leaves one dead and 15 injured
A 47-year-old man died following a violent clash between two groups of villagers in Doarabazar upazila, Sunamganj, late on Friday. The dispute began over the cutting of paddy saplings but quickly turned into a deadly confrontation. Over 15 people were injured in the fighting, which involved sharp weapons like spears. The trouble started when Billal Hossain, son of the late Abdul Gafur from Dewannagar village, argued with his neighbour Masrab Ali. Masrab had cut Billal's paddy saplings to feed his cows. The disagreement soon escalated into a larger conflict as both sides tried to assert dominance in the area.

Billal Hossain suffered critical injuries and was rushed to Sylhet Osmani Medical College Hospital for treatment. Despite medical efforts, Billal died at the hospital at about 2:00 AM on Saturday. His body was later released to his family after a post-mortem examination. Police have not yet identified or sought any other individuals in connection with the incident.
The clash has left one man dead and multiple villagers injured. Authorities continue to investigate the circumstances surrounding the violence. No arrests have been made so far in relation to the incident.
