A 35-year-old man now faces multiple criminal charges following an incident on Thursday afternoon. Police were called to Westliche Industriestraße at around 5:15 p.m. after reports that the suspect had allegedly assaulted another resident of the same age at a local accommodation, striking him with a chair without provocation.
During the subsequent police operation, the man—who appeared visibly intoxicated—verbally abused the responding officers and spat in their direction. Due to his persistent aggressive behavior, he was eventually taken into custody.
While in police detention, he requested medical assistance. When paramedics arrived to attend to him, he attempted to flee but was quickly apprehended. He resisted officers during his recapture, resulting in a police officer sustaining minor injuries.
