Düsseldorf Carnival 2023: Officials reveal key updates and full event schedule

A joint press briefing will be held by the Düsseldorf Carnival Committee (CC), the City of Düsseldorf, and Düsseldorf Police on February 9, 2023. The event will address key updates ahead of the city’s upcoming Carnival celebrations, with senior officials from all three organisations in attendance. The press conference is scheduled for 11:00 AM in the HFA Hall, located on the ground floor of Düsseldorf City Hall. Lothar J. Hörning, President of the CC, will be joined by Christian Zaum, Head of Public Order, and Chief Superintendent Oliver Strudthoff, Director of the Central Police Station.

Immediately after, at 12:00 PM in the same location, the CC will unveil the full Carnival programme. This will include the detailed event schedule for the so-called 'crazy days'.

The briefing marks a coordinated effort between the Carnival organisers, city authorities, and law enforcement. Following the press conference, attendees will have access to the complete timetable for Düsseldorf’s 2023 Carnival festivities.
