Elizabethtown Borough to Vote on $5.6M Sewer Revenue Note Next Week

Elizabethtown Borough, Lancaster County, Pennsylvania, has scheduled a special public meeting for Monday, November 17, 2025, at 4:00 p.m. The meeting aims to discuss and potentially approve an ordinance authorizing a $5,624,000 sewer revenue note.

The proposed ordinance, available for public examination at the Elizabethtown Borough Municipal Building and a local newspaper, outlines the form, dates, interest, and maturity of the note. It also pledges project revenues and the full faith and credit of the borough for payment, and establishes a sinking fund. Amendments can be made during the final passage of the ordinance, with a final notice to be published according to the Pennsylvania Local Government Unit Debt Act.

Upon adoption, the 2025 Note will be transferred to and authorized for the municipal bond purchaser in a private negotiated sale. While the specific recipient institution is not yet publicly known, the funds will be used to replace and/or remove the Radio Road Interceptor and associated facilities of the borough's public sewer collection, conveyance, and treatment facilities.

The upcoming meeting provides the public with an opportunity to engage in the discussion and potential approval of this ordinance, which aims to improve the borough's sewer infrastructure.
