€88,000 forestry crawler stolen near Dobbertin in broad daylight

Unknown perpetrators allegedly stole a forestry crawler along with its trailer from a wooded area near Dobbertin during the night from Wednesday to Thursday.
According to current findings, the self-propelled forestry machine was parked and secured on a trailer in a section of the forest at around 5:45 PM on Wednesday.
The theft of the "Moritz Raupe 75" forestry crawler was discovered on Thursday at approximately 12:00 PM. The total damage is estimated at around €88,000.
Police secured evidence at the scene and launched a criminal investigation into aggravated theft. A search for the stolen machine and trailer is also underway.
Authorities in Plau (phone: +49 38735 837-0) are asking anyone who may have noticed suspicious activity in the Neuhof area during the time of the crime—or who has information about the incident—to come forward.
