Several gatherings have been registered in connection with the planned launch of the youth organization Generation Deutschland Niedersachsen—affiliated with the far-right Alternative for Germany (AfD) party—in Oldenburg district, all set to take place today.

In addition to the party's own event, two counter-protests have been notified to authorities. These will include a stationary rally and a mobile march in the municipality of Dötlingen at various times throughout the day.

The Delmenhorst/Oldenburg-Land/Wesermarsch police precinct is monitoring the situation on the ground with an appropriate and sufficient deployment of officers. Both the AfD event and the registered counter-demonstrations are protected under Germany's Basic Law (Grundgesetz). Police operations will remain within their legal mandate, with the primary objective of upholding the constitutional rights of all participants while ensuring a safe and orderly process with minimal disruption.

Residents are advised to anticipate possible traffic disruptions near the assembly sites.

The police will provide updates on developments as the situation evolves.
