Florist hit by burglary just days before Valentine's Day rush
A florist in Emmendingen was broken into over the weekend, just days before Valentine’s Day. Police confirmed the burglary took place on Hochburger Straße between Saturday afternoon and Sunday morning. The thief or thieves forced their way in by smashing down a door.
The break-in happened sometime between 4:00 PM on Saturday and 10:00 AM on Sunday. The intruders targeted the shop’s sales area, stealing an undisclosed amount of cash. The building itself was also damaged during the incident.
Freiburg Police Headquarters have launched an investigation into the burglary. Authorities have not yet revealed the exact financial loss suffered by the business.
