Green Party expands into Seukendorf with new local branch launch
The Green Party has launched a new local branch in Seukendorf, marking its eleventh association in the Fürth district. The group held its first meeting, led by Elena Dürschinger, and announced key roles for its members. The branch’s founding event received support from Gisela Sengl, co-leader of Bavaria’s Green Party. During the meeting, Susann Schröter-Piskol was elected as chair, with Thomas Piskol chosen as co-chair. Julian Blanz will take on the role of secretary.
The Greens made an immediate impact in local politics. Afrodita Lüpke secured a seat on Seukendorf’s municipal council with 497 votes. She will also serve as a committee member of the new branch. Overall, the party won 8.1 percent of the vote in its first council election in the area. The new Seukendorf branch now has a full leadership team in place. Its early electoral success suggests growing support for the Greens in the region. The group will focus on local issues as it develops its presence in the district.
