Gujarat’s ‘Janjatiya Gaurav Yatra’ to unite tribal communities in week-long celebration

Gujarat is set to host the 'Janjatiya Gaurav Yatra' from November 7 to 13, starting from Ambaji and Umargam. The week-long event aims to integrate tribal communities into mainstream development and celebrate the 150th birth anniversary of Bhagwan Birsa Munda. Cultural performances, health camps, and cleanliness drives are planned along the route covering 14 tribal and 20 non-tribal districts.

The Yatra will kick off on November 7 at Adhyashaktidham Ambaji, with Chief Minister Shri Bhupendra Patel flagging it off. It will traverse through 34 districts, concluding on November 13. The state government seeks to honour tribal communities and their culture through this event.

Parallel to the Yatra, a national celebration of 'Janjatiya Gaurav Divas' will take place in Dediapada on November 15. Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi will grace the occasion, marking the 150th birth anniversary of Bhagwan Birsa Munda.

The 'Janjatiya Gaurav Yatra' is part of the larger 'Janjatiya Gaurav Varsh Utsav' in Gujarat. It aims to foster unity, pride, and progress among tribal communities. The event is expected to leave a lasting impact on the state's tribal districts.
