Halle's Abi-Fete Relocates to Ulrichswiese for 2026 Celebrations
Due to ongoing construction work at Ziegelwiese, this year's high school graduation party (Abi-Fete) will not take place on its usual site on Friday, April 10, 2026. Instead, the event will be held at Ulrichswiese, the green space between Peißnitzhaus and the Peißnitz stage.
As in previous years, the city of Halle (Saale)'s Streetwork department will organize the School-Out Party, featuring a stage program with student performances. Stage setup will begin around midday, and the event will also include a beverage stand, a quiet zone, and an awareness team in the designated "Streetzone" area. The celebration will conclude at 11 p.m.
City regulatory officers, police, and emergency services will be on site throughout the event. The restrooms near the Peißnitz stage will remain open until 11 p.m., and additional lighting will be installed. Attendees are asked to dispose of waste in the provided containers. The city will set up an extra dumpster and distribute trash bags.
The city of Halle (Saale) wishes all participants an enjoyable and entertaining event. Tobias Teschner, head of the city's security department, added: "We also urge everyone to act responsibly—alcohol should never be treated as an experiment, and excessive drinking must be avoided. Look out for one another, both during the party and on your way home."
